Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

FavorHive is a social platform that lets people gift blank favor coupons to trusted members of their circles, called hives. We are operated by FavorHive and can be reached at privacy@favorhive.app.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to operate the app:

• Account information — your name, email address, and profile photo when you sign up
• Profile data — your display name, avatar selection, and notification preferences
• Activity data — coupons you give or receive, bookings, hive memberships, and feed activity
• Messages — private chat messages and group hive chat messages
• Payment data — credit purchases are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
• Device data — basic device information and push notification tokens to deliver alerts

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Operate the FavorHive platform and deliver its features
• Send you notifications about coupon activity, messages, and bookings
• Allow other members of your hives to see your name and avatar
• Process credit purchases securely through Stripe
• Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service
• Improve the app based on usage patterns

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or third parties. FavorHive is an ad-free platform.

4. Data processors we use

We use trusted third-party services to operate FavorHive:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, and hosting (Google LLC, USA)
• Stripe — payment processing (Stripe, Inc., USA)
• Expo / EAS — app building and over-the-air updates

Each of these processors handles data under their own privacy policies and applicable data protection law.

5. Data sharing

We share your data only in these limited circumstances:

• With other members of your hives — your name and avatar are visible to hive members
• With service providers listed above, strictly to operate the platform
• With law enforcement when required by law or to prevent serious harm
• In the event of a merger or acquisition, with appropriate notice to users

We never share your messages or personal data for advertising purposes.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Some residual data such as anonymized activity records may be retained for security and fraud prevention purposes.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Object to certain types of processing
• Data portability

8. Children's privacy

FavorHive is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18 we will immediately terminate their account and delete their data.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission, secure authentication, and access controls. However no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of FavorHive after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
